A reply to Hausa Professor Jibrin Ibrahim

You are not of the Middle -Belt region.
You cannot cry more than the bereaved. You are a progressive Hausa man in Fulani captured HEGEMONY.

I have never accused you of not organising active political resistance of this perfidious ethnic and religion of Hausaland by your visitor Fulani Jihadi conquerors.

Are you still a Christian Hausa or this mythical Muslim “Hausa – Fulani”?

(Joseph) Stalin made a regretable Historic error in the Soviet Union days of brutally suppressing Minority Ethnic Nationalism and the Nationality Question was thrown under the bus in his lifetime

The same hidden ethno – cultural problematic flew into rancorous storm and the eventual shameful disintegration of the Soviet Union, with Russia still at unsolvable War with Ukraine.

My personal family History is soaked in uncompromising peasant Revolutionary Resistance against both British Colonialism and its successor Neo – feudal Fulani Sharia Caliphate.

My great grand – parents defeated Usumanu dan Fodiyo’s Jihadi Armies at the historic Battle of River Demekpe.

( Victory or Death) at the boundary with Lafia town in today’s Nasarawa State and checkmated forever further Caliphate adventures down south through Tivland.

My maternal village and ruling House was the Recruiting base and High Command of the UMBC (United Middle Belt Congress) and JS Tarka’s peasant Revolutionary Guerillas in the 1960s UPRISING against the Fulani Caliphate Aristocracy of the insidious post – colonial capture of Northern Nigeria ( AREWA) by the Northern Peoples Congess (NPC) of Sardauna of Sokoto, Alhaji Ahmadu Bello.

The collapse of the first Republic sloped downhill through AG Action Group of Awolowo’s Western Region and finally the maiden 1966 Military and on to the avoidable NIGERIA BIAFRA CIVIL WAR ( 1967 – 1971).

At the age of 12 , I was an active Child recruit of the UMBC and its military Wing called “ATEM ITYOUGH”
(Smash the head to pieces with your Sacred Axe).

Till today, I remain a War Commander of my Age-Grade and must defend my oppressed people from both the TIV bourgeoisie and the Northern/ AREWA hegemonists.

Of course you know that the Tiv socio – political organisation is an autocephalous Confederation of Clan kinship tied hence no Monarchical rulership / Aristocracy.

The Tor Tiv is a mere Colonial Administrative authority structure concocted by the British Colonial office to hegemonise the disparate MIDDLE- BELT ethnic minorities into a coerced INDIRECT RULE under Fulani Sokoto Caliphate continuum as epitomized by Ahmadu Bello, Sardauna of Sokoto and his NPC political machine.
CONTRADICTION.

While I genuinely sympathize with Comrade (Prof) Jibo’s helpless captivity in his native Hausaland at the hands of Fulani Neo- feudal ruling class, It remains his albatross to rescue this internal colonial shame on his oppressed (Hausa) people who in the 16th century paraded the great Queen Amina of the Habe Kingdom of ZAZZAU ( ZARIA ).

Jibo and his fellow Hausa impoverished and famished talakawa are free to choose bondage under their Fulani feudal overlords, but should not cry for a Comrade Tar, whose pedigree is soaked in the blood of his TIV martyrs.

REFOCUS.

I jokingly critiqued Comrade Jibo for going to present an eclectic 10 MINUTES Lecture at Kaduna AREWA HOUSE to celebrate their 25th AREWA ANNIVERSARY.

1) It was in my view a desperate and cowardly journey to play safe as a moderate Hausa, appealing to a hungry and vicious Lion to spare the lives of Antelopes in the Forest .

2).The naive conceptualisation of a shared nebulous “AREWA” heritage is a worst case scenario of political jingoism.

Whose AREWA and how does this ethnic chauvinist contraption concern we peoples of the Middle -Belt region?

3).In the face of increasing Fulani Jihadi Terrorists and Sharia genocide on our peoples of the Middle -Belt, how can any sane observer or analyst be preaching AREWA UNITY as a mobilisation mantra to wade through this AREWA created Rivers of BLOOD across the Middle -Belt region?

4) Comrade reminds me of Mao’s critique against stooges of the Kuomintang under General Chang Kaishek in the Patriotic War against Japanese Imperialist invasion of China.

Mao bluntly told his comrades that our strategy is to UNDERSTAND and EXECUTE a separate War policy/ politics against Japan as a PRINCIPAL CONTRADICTION.

After the expulsion of the Japanese invade of the Homeland, then the People’s Liberation Army under the Communist Party of China will now confront this erstwhile SECONDARY CONTRADICTIONS which is now again a PRINCIPAL CONTRADICTION.

MAO’s Doctrine of the Nature and Character of Contradictions in Peace and War remains our most potent Class Dialectics in dealing with internal and external class conflicts and correct analysis of Resolution towards successful goals in Struggle.

Comrade Jibo by the way, is not just my younger brother but my oldest comrade in (the) Struggle since1970s from our Barewa College days.

Finally my FIELD WORK with Comrade Chom’s ” SEARCH FOR COMMON – GROUND remains the best successful model in the Middle -Belt region for CROSS – CULTURAL BRIDGES IN PEACE – BUILDING in preventing and mitigating Violent conflicts through Peaceful Dialogue between nomadic Fulani Pastoral herders and Sedentary Farmers of host communities.

MAINSTREAM VS NGO OPTIONS.
The NGO called “SEARCH ” is a Washington DC ( USA) faith based Peace and Conflict Resolution which started peace meditation advocacy in the Nigeria Delta before migrating to the Middle -Belt conflict zone.

Though very effective but limited in Conceptual scope of material resolution of the Root causes of aggressive Livelihood survival battles and environmental dysfunction IN
“SHARING THE GREEN GRASS.”

Even while in Government service as the DG of the National Theatre and the Native Troupe of Nigeria, I continued this peace – building project in 36 Communities of 12 LGAs in Plateau, Nasarawa States and Southern Kaduna areas aggregating almost 15 million inhabitants.

NEW GAME.
Today on the contrary, the matrix and drivers of this conflict have changed dramatically in content and form.

FULANI JIHADI TERRORISTS armed and equipped with sophisticated war arsenal have invaded the entire Middle -Belt region and some Southern States reigning mass terror, brigandage, looting and raping women in our towns and villages, not for Cattle grazing but for Land grabbing and Genocidal extermination of native indigenous peoples of Middle -Belt region.

So Jibo’s name profile of Middle -Belt defenders like me as so – called
“ethnic bigotry” sadly reminds me of a village coward who runs away from an invasion army and pontificates in neighbouring climes that resisting the invaders will continue the oppression.

My simple advise to our Jibos is to leave us alone to fight our way out of the jungle while you relax and write beautiful prose of how Peace is important for “progress of Nigeria”.

Meanwhile, no fancy “Conference on Marxism” WhatsApp group will Liberate our Middle -Belt people from the horrific pogroms of YELWATA in Benue and Mangu in Plateau State as epithets of our grieving people.
Don’t Drink and Dance on our Martyred graves and scurf at our “ethnic bigotry”.

Soon your Hausa children will be Conscripted into the bourgeois Fulani State army to report at the front lines against Boko Haram and Fulani Jihadi Terrorists, while the children of your bourgeoisie will be flown abroad to their parents luxury resorts in Europe and Arab / Gulf States.

Our Middle -Belt children will not fight useless internal colonial wars to preserve the privileges of the Fulani Jihadi Terrorists in Government and business.

In a macabre way , people like you push us to embrace Trump’s option of life boats in a sinking State ship called Nigeria.

So to you clever “marxist geniuses” , our Lenin will query ;
” WHAT IS TO BE DONE?” , in Peace and War.

Growth and development in Theory and Practice ( Praxis ) in Revolutionary struggles and climes is not the infallible Bible or Quran.
Answer to my critique of Jibo and his Conceptual Framework of concrete Struggle in Nigeria in its different ecosystem.

Most Comrades of the North / “AREWA33” and those of the non – Middle -Belt region lack a concrete understanding of the complex vegetation of our region.

Outside narratives cannot judge our home living experience and organic responses.

It is absolutely simplistic and unacceptable to deny the reality of Christian Genocide by Fulani Jihadi Sharia Terrorists in our Region, especially Benue and Plateau States as the epicentre.

Is mass Genocide ongoing ithe Northern Sharia States by BOKO HARAM, ISIS ISWAP and FULANI JIHADI TERRORISTS insurgencies?

What the active push in the North suffers is war of retribution against moderate Muslims who reject murderous Fundamentalist
Islam violently insisting on SHARIA and JIHADI ideology.

If that is what they want in their Northern Sharia States, all well and good.

But in our homeland Middle -Belt region, we prefer to live in harmony devoid of religion bigotry, intolerance and ETHNIC exploitation and domination.

Trump is the “Enemy of my Enemy ” , so I gladly welcome this Maoist war doctrine in building a Broad Front in external coalitions and a United Front in internal coalitions.

That is first grade Marxism – Leninism under Chinese mainly peasant ecosystem.
