As part of activities marking the One Year Anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, thousands of Lagos poorest of the poor on Wednesday received palliatives from Chairman, Mandate Group Mr Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo.

In a gesture that saw residents from different ethnic and religious backgrounds, Enilolobo said the initiative will continue through out the month of May.

He said it was his own contribution to part of activities marking the one year Anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He said he has lined up chain of activities from now to May 29 when the Government of Tinubu would be one year.

The event also coincided with his birthday.

Enilolobo who is the chairman of The Mandate Movement in Lagos called for massive support for President Tinubu and the Lagos State Government.

He said Tinubu inherited a “rotten wound filled with scars” that needed time to heal. He said the country was filled with landmines which the President is trying to detonate. Apart from distributing palliatives to over 2000 residents, he also visited private and public hospitals where he paid the bills of many on admission.

The occasion was adorbed with banners, Shirts and handbills calling on Nigerians to support President Tinubu and appreciate the state of anomie he inherited.

“He waited for many years to become the President of Nigeria. He fought a very tough battle. His predecessors never wanted him to win. They nearly destroyed the economy in order to mock him. Its not going to be easy to reclaim the fortunes of the country. We need the support of all of you” Enilolobo told the crowd of Nigerians who came from all walls of life. The event began with prayers from Muslim clerics, who offered blessings for Enilolobo and The Mandate Movement. Following the prayers, Enilolobo extended his generosity to over 2,000 Lagos residents by distributing palliatives, bringing joy to many who were seen jubilating and offering prayers in appreciation.

During the celebrations, Enilolobo took a moment to hail President Bola Tinubu, commending his leadership and dedication to improving the lives of Nigerians.

He assured citizens that with the current administration’s policies and efforts, the economic challenges facing the nation would be alleviated soon.

Continuing his acts of kindness, Enilolobo visited Alimosho General Hospital in Igando, where he was warmly welcomed by Dr. Ayodapo Samuel Soyinka, the Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director of the hospital. During his visit, Enilolobo paid the hospital bills for several patients who were unable to afford the costs, a gesture that was met with gratitude and admiration.

Enilolobo was accompanied by notable community leaders including Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf, the immediate past Commissioner for the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in Lagos; Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon, the Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government; APC Chieftain in Mushin, Prince Wale Arogundade and other distinguished guests. Akinbile-Yusuf highlighted that this was the fourth consecutive year Enilolobo had celebrated his birthday by supporting patients at the hospital, underscoring his commitment to this tradition.

In response, Dr. Soyinka expressed his appreciation for Enilolobo’s generosity, noting that he was inspired by the chairman’s continuous acts of kindness.

The medical team joined in singing a birthday song for Enilolobo, adding a heartfelt touch to the celebration.

Enilolobo reflected on his charitable efforts, stating, “There is no better way to show gratitude to God than to be here. I can afford to buy little things, whereas there are others who can hardly get anything for themselves. Therefore, I owe God the glory. This has become a tradition for me, and by God’s grace, I plan on continuing to do so.”

Alhaja Tawakalitu Olusola Oyedele, the Apex leader of The Mandate Movement in Mushin Local Government, praised Enilolobo’s decision to celebrate his birthday in such a manner, highlighting his deep connection to the people and his understanding of the current economic challenges.

She said, “On behalf of all Mandate Movement members, we stand united in our commitment to support you in your endeavors. May the Almighty Allah continue to keep you in His guidance.”

Enilolobo’s birthday celebrations not only brought relief to many but also showcased the profound impact of compassionate leadership and community solidarity.
