Several Pastors and members of Redeem Christian Church of God, (RCCG) travelling in a Church bus have been kidnapped in Kaduna
Irohinoodua heard that the incidence took place in Kaduna on Friday
The bus is said to have over 30 occupants.
Head, Media and Public Relations of RCCG, Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi said the abducted members were yet to be released as at Saturday.
Kidnapping for ransom has become so rampant in the North Central state where a mix of Islamic extremists and armed gangs are very active
No fewer than 10 people are kidnapped daily in the North Central State
An RCCG member in Kaduna, Tunde Adeola told Irohinoodua that the armed men confronted the RCCG members shooting into the air to send fears.
“We heard they stopped the vehicle at gunpoint. They shut into the air to instil fear. They later marched the victims into the bush” Adeola said.
The kidnappers kidnap indiscriminately. Many Muslims have also been kidnapped in Kaduna in the past
Sources said the recent kidnap took place on Kachia Road, some 63 awa from Kaduna, a city with so many military institutions and command yet has become the theatre of the absurd for many travellers and natives
