Newsbreak: Tinubu picks Oyedele as Minister of State, Finance

The Federal Government has carried our a lone cabinet reshuffle.
In the new cabinet swap, Mr Taiwo Oyedele becomes the Minister of State for Finance.
He replaces Dr Doris Uzoka-Anite who now moves to the Budget and Planning as Minister of State in the Ministry of Budget and National Planning.
It was the third time that Uzoka-Anite would be reassigned.
In a statement made available to Irohinoodua, signed by President Tinubu’s media aide, Mr Bayo Onanuga the redeployment takes immediate effect.
Tinubu on Tuesday informed the Senate about Oyedele’s nomination.
The Senate is expected to confirm the nomination.
The letter informing the National Assembly was sent to the Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Previously Oyedele was Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms.
Oyedele had been spearheading Tax reforms in Nigeria with new innovations to drive the economy to safe harbour.
Oyedele, 50, is a native of Ikaramu in Akoko, Ondo State.
He bagged Higher National Diploma in Accountancy and Finance from Yaba College of Technology.
Oyedele completed executive education programmes at the London School of Economics, Yale University, the Gordon Institute of Business Science and the Harvard Kennedy School.
He spent 22 years at PwC, where he rose to become Fiscal Policy Partner and Africa Tax Leader.
Oyedele is a professor at Babcock University, Ogun State, and a visiting scholar at the Lagos Business School.
