“The strategy of the terrorists shows war tactics. They came at a time they were least expected. No one would have imagined they would come immediately after they had been defeated. In military tactics that is “surprise attack” a member of the vigilante in the community who does not wish to be named told Irohnoodua.
When asked why the vigilantes were unable to fight back the second time, he said the terorists entered the town without any gun shots.
“They disguised as normal villagers. They went to houses located in the outskirts of the village. The houses were far from the main town and some are mud houses where people live. They went their to kidnap an entire family. There are women and children among them.”
Th source said by the time the local vigilantes were alerted, the terorists had disappeared into the forest.
Another member of Amotekun who spoke to Irohinoodua said after the soldiers left, they should have stationed a few soldiers to protect the community.
According to him, the armed Fulani terrorists are enthrenched in Ekiti, Kogi and Kwara forests adding that the people who attacked the town initially came with new AK-47 guns.

Abejide has expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, for his swift and decisive intervention by protecting the territorial Ajoni boarders from incultions of the bandits. He said the Governor and the Ajoni LCDA Chairman are trying their best in the face of limiting constitutional powers that does not empower the Governor to be able to exercise full control over security matters.
