has been killed by unassigned officials said his whereabouts remain unknown..

The World’s poorest region, West Africa has continued to witness military coups overthrowing democratic governments that have refused to address growing inequalities, poverty and misery.

What is not clear in the current situation in Ivory Coast is if the crisis is being propelled by a clash of interests between the United States and France who appears to have conflict over investment fortunes in the West African State. There are speculations that the coup may be another revolution aimed at overthrowing puppets of imperialist forces that keep Africa down following similar revolutions in Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali is what observers claim is a whirlwind hitting West Africa which is the hub of many corrupt and irresponsible leaders

“There is coup in Ivory Coast at the moment. No one is sure if what has happened to the President. Some say he has been killed amidst reports that he has been kidnapped” Allane Bour, a resident of Abidjan told Irohinoodua on phone.

Reports claimed the car of the Defence Minister was riddled with bullets. His admirers said he was a good man while others said he was a corrupt leader who aligned with the ruling class to exploit and exclude the people from political and economic powers.

“General Doumbia was more than a military leader; he was a symbol of strength, discipline, and hope for a peaceful Côte d’Ivoire. His work to strengthen our armed forces and protect our borders touched the lives of many across the continent. As Africans, we feel this loss deeply, and it reminds us how fragile peace can be. Who could be behind this? Why would anyone target a man so committed to our nation’s safety? These are the questions swirling in our hearts, and we invite you to share your thoughts, suspicions, and reflections on this heartbreaking event,” an online report obtained by Irohinoodua stated.
