China set to unveil 15th five year plan prioritizing Industrial modernization, green development

China is gearing up to unveil its 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development, a roadmap that will shape the country’s economic and social trajectory over the next five years.
According to President Xi Jinping, the formulation and implementation of these plans reflect the Communist Party of China’s important experience in governance and represent a significant political advantage of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
The plan will provide top-level design and strategic guidance for China’s economic and social development, outlining a dynamic blueprint that captures the momentum of the times.
As President Xi Jinping noted, “the Recommendations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development” were adopted during the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC in Beijing.
With a history of successfully implementing 14 Five-Year Plans, China has transformed itself from a poor nation to the world’s second-largest economy and largest manufacturing hub.
The country’s per capita GDP now exceeds $13,000, and its annual contribution to global economic growth remains around 30%. China’s economic strength has risen substantially, and its global influence has been further enhanced.
The 15th Five-Year Plan will focus on promoting high-quality development as its central theme. As President Xi Jinping emphasized, “a well-formulated and effectively implemented 15th Five-Year Plan will lay a more solid foundation for reaching the goal of basically achieving socialist modernization by 2035.”
China’s development prospects are bright, and the country is willing to strengthen governance experience-sharing and development strategy alignment with other countries, including Nigeria..
Through the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the Belt and Road Initiative, China aims to deepen practical cooperation with Nigeria and other African countries, promoting economic transformation and industrialization.
As President Xi Jinping said, “Chinese modernization will provide important references and practical opportunities for Nigeria and other African countries to achieve economic transformation, advance industrialization, and enhance self-reliant development capacity.”
China is committed to working with Nigeria to implement zero-tariff policies and unlock its development potential.
