Exclusive: Charly Boy didn’t give us 2,500 bikes, says Motorcycle Operators Union.

By Omolade Adegbuyi

Claims that Charly Boy gave 2,500 motorbikes to people in Lagos are false.

In an interview with Irohinoodua on Wednesday, the National Secretary, Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria (MOUN) Comrade Ade IKUESAN said such reports were figments of imagination,

Our Union is not aware of 2,500 okada given to our members.
This is not true.”We have a strong Union and if such a significant event happened,we would know “IKUESAN said.

He also said that Okada Riders in Lagos have been used to Second Pedro Bus Stop until Charly Boy came and removed the name after which he inserted his.
He also said that many Okada Riders were worried about the moral image Charly Boy represented and the negative impact on their children.

According to him,no single individual in Nigeria has ever given 500 okada to our members not to talk of 2,500.

He said “We urge flippant commentators not to drag our Union into their parochial battle. Charle Boy is not our member .He only recruited some of our members anytime he wants to organize rallies for a fee”

IKUESAN said there is no record of Charly Boy or anyone giving 2,500 okada to it’s members.

IKUESAN urged journalists to always investigate their stories and not to rely on rumors.
