Kidnappers place 100m ransom on Ondo Chair who hails Tinubu

Terrorists who kidnapped Hon. Aladesuyi Kayode, popularly known as JOTINA, have demanded a sum of 100million for the release of the chairman of Ondo Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

Irohinoodua learnt that the chairman was reportedly kidnapped by suspected gunmen in Ilu Abo community, Akure North Local Government Area, Ondo State.

The 100,000 million release clause has sparked widespread concern among residents, political stakeholders and netizens as
Hon. Aladesuyi’s past social media posts resurfaced, showing him praising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his efforts in tackling insecurity in Nigeria.

However, the irony of his situation has triggered mixed reactions across social media platforms, with some expressing sympathy for the abducted official while others highlighting the contrast between his earlier remarks and his current circumstances.

The kidnapping is the latest in a string of insecurity incidents in Ondo State, with residents expressing growing concerns about safety around Akure Airport and nearby communities.

The Akoko North West Youth Forum (ANWYF) has condemned the abduction and called for the immediate release of Hon. Aladesuyi and the two other victims ยน.

The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the incident and assured the public that efforts are underway to rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators. Residents have been urged to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies.

The incident highlights the growing insecurity in Southwest Nigeria, particularly in Ondo State, where kidnappings and armed attacks have become increasingly common.

The state government has been called upon to intensify efforts to address the security situation and protect citizens.
