Newsbreak: Armed men shoot Yoruba Oba again

The traditional ruler of Oba of Agamọ Community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, Kehinde Falodun, has been killed.
Sources told Irohinoodua that armed herdmen shot the Oba dead after he resisted attempts to kidnap him.
The murder of Oba Falodun marks the fifth Yoruba Oba that has been killed by Fulani terrorists. The Oba of Imojo Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Samuel Olusola and the Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oa David Babatunde Ogunsakin were killed by Fulani terrorists.
The third Oba Alara of Ara, Oba Adebayo Fatoba escaped. Later in Kwara State, Onikoro of Ikoro Ekiti, Iba Peter Segun Aremu, a retired Army General was killed in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Irohinoodua was informed that about 10 armed men stormed his community before killing him. One local source said the armed men came with AK 47 and were in large numbers. ‘They shot into the air on Wednesday. We were all afraid.
They stormed the palace. It was natural that no reasonable Oba would allow himself to be kidnapped like chicken.
He asked questions, but the armed men replied with bullets, He was murdered in the presence of young children that watched helplessly,’ an official of the Local Government who is from the town told our correspondent.Few days ago, armed Fulani men attacked Ayede Community in the same local government.
The kidnapped a pregnant woman, Mrs Mary Jesulayomi. Locals rallied around and ransom was paid. Security operatives launched a man hunt leading to the arrest of 12 suspects.
‘What is happening in Yorubaland is a shame, real shame. Oba Falodun was murdered by Fulani terrorists. Do not forget that the Onikoro of Ikoro, retired Army General was killed like chicken. Two Ekiti prominent traditional rulers were also murdered by Fulani terrorists.
Can Yoruba groups invade Sokoto and Katsina and begin to kill their Emirs, rape their wives and kill their farmers? But that is exactly what they are doing to us right in our own eyes’, General Secretary, Alliance for Yoruba Democratic Movement, (AYDM) Mr Popoola Ajayi told Irohinoodua. The group is expected to pay condolence visit to the family of the monarch on Friday.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Ondo State Police Command, Mr Abayomi Jimoh has confirmed the killing. He said an investigation had commenced into the matter. Irohinoodua was informed that the State Government has deployed AMotekun into the area with the aim of tracking down the criminals.
