Another gruesome killing has surfaced in Irele Ekiti
Another gruesome video has emerged showing the lifeless body of a woman, allegedly killed by her Fulani abductors in Irele, Ekiti state.
According to the video made available to Irohinodua on Saturday, the victim (names withheld) who was earlier kidnapped and raped to death was abducted seven days ago between Irele and Oke-Ako Ekiti, Anjoni Local Government area.
The shocking footage, obtained, reveals the woman’s corpse lying in a bush, with a voiceover narating how her corpse was retrieved.
The voice in the video, purportedly a resident of the community, accused the soldiers deployed to the area of failing to take adequate action to rescue the kidnapped victims.
“The soldiers are not doing anything; we, the villagers, will have to protect ourselves,” the voice said, adding that the rest of the abducted individuals are still in the custody of the gunmen.
The development has raised panic in Irele, with residents demanding increased security measures to combat the rising tide of kidnappings and violence in the area.
The incident has also reignited calls for more proactive measures to address the growing security challenges in the region.
The people of Irele, once a peaceful and thriving community, are now living in fear, as the brazen attack has left them feeling vulnerable and exposed.
