Newsbreak: Terrorists invade Yorualand in Kogi again, kidnap businessman, couple escape

Armed terrorists have again invaded Egbe, a Yoruba territory in Kogi State. After the all night invasion, at least one person, Ben Logbon was kidnapped at Egbe while a couple was shot and later hospitalised
One owner of a bread factory who was suspected to be a target escaped unhurt.
Our correspondent was informed by a youth leader in the town that a man travelling from Odo Ere to Egbe was shot by the terrorists on Saturday morning while another couple escaped being kidnapped on Friday night.
He said If the terrorists succeed in taking over Yorubaland in Kogi, the next targets will be Ekiti,Osun, Ondo and even Lagos, Ogun and Oyo States. He said “Only those who can think deeply know that the main target is to capture the entire Yoruba territory through a Jihad.
Irohinoodua was informed that the terrorists invaded Egbe on Friday night forcing residents to flee.
“They were armed. Some of them were in military uniforms. No doubt, they were Fulani. They went to a bread factory but the man escaped.They kidnapped Mr Ben Logbon and took him away,” a resident of Egbe, Morenike Agbana who spoke to Irohinoodua said.
According to her residents now find it difficult to go outside in the early hours. He said these days, people desert the city as early as 5pm or latest 6pm.
He said the situation is terrible.
“We are living in fear in our own fatherland due to alien terrorists. Women are raped. We cant go to farm. We cant go to the stream. It’s a shame.”
Another resident of Odo-Ere, a town not too far from Egbe, Mr Babatunde Menahin who spoke to our correspondent said more than 100 million naira has been paid by the community to Fulani kidnappers in the past two years while at least 10 people have been killed.
