Ekiti Afenifere holds dinner, supports Tinubu, Oyebanji

Passes vote of confidence on ARG Leader, Wale Osun

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received praised from Afenifere Renewal Group, Ekiti State Chapter.
The Chairman of the group,Hon Bunmi Awotiku also praised the Ekiti State Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji for uplifting the state socially and economically.The ARG said both Tinubu and Oyebanji have brought relief in their various fields adding that both leaders deserve a second term
Awotiku spoke at the End of the Year dinner hosted for its members marking the close of a very successful 2025 group activities.
The entertainment party was held at the residence of the state Coordinator.
The dinner equally marked the start of a new beginning of another year of carefully planned activities.
Welcoming members, spouses and other guests, the State Coordinator, Elders Bunmi Akanbi Awotiku gave thanks to God and thanked members for their unflinching commitments to the group emphasizing their selfless contributions towards making the sociopolitical group a strong voice that offers support and advices to both State and Federal governments where and when necessary.
“2025 he said ended on a good note for this group as many activities were successfully carried out.
Afenifere Renewal Group thanked Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji BAO and his government for co-sponsoring the 2025 June12 annual activities and hope to partnering the state and the Governor in the new year 2026.
The communique equally appreciated former Governor John Kayode Fayemi for his consistency and continued support to ARG both at the National and the State levels.
Speaking on National development, the leader gave a pass mark to the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for successfully steering an almost dead economy back to life, stabilizing a steady supply and gradual reductions in fuel pricing, stable foreign exchange and his continue efforts in the area of security.
The communique advised that the President should do more in the area of social security particularly in reviewing and restoring the School Feeding Program. A program he said attracts children to school, gives daily nourishment to pupils and provide employment to sundry suppliers at various levels. He added that this will help in reducing out of school children where this serves as a recruiting base for banditry and other criminal activities. This according to Elder Awotiku is their own Renewed Hope. The communique emphasized State Police is imperative.
A vote of confidence was passed on the National Chairman of ARG Chief Olawale Oshun and his team for giving the right leadership always.
The highlight of the event was the eating, drinking, dancing and bonding by members as they believe 2026 will be a better year for tthem, the State and the nation.
