Newsbreak: Nigerian Military plane crashes, 32 on board

A military aircraft that took off from Benin to Lagos has crashed in Ondo State..

The sad incident took place on Monday. There were 27 passengers on board.

Aviation experts said the aircraft was on a routine mission to Nigeria’s economic hub of Lagos when it crashed in the Igbokoda area of Ondo state.

It is not clear the cause of the crash.

The military aircraft had 25 passengers and 7 crew members.

Irohinoodua was informed that frantic search has been launched to rescue the passengers.

The names of the passengers are yet to be released as at press time.

The Nigeria’s Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo said in a statement that the ATR-42 Military plane said that an immediate search and rescue operation was launched.

Sources said the plane has some military personnel on board.
