Owo indigenous People place curse on Betty, late Gov Rotimi Akeredolu.

Owo traditionalists gathered at their ancient shrine during the week to place curse on Betty, the wife of Ondo State former Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu. Irohinoodua correspondent in Ondo State witnessed the event.

A traditional official in Owo told our reporter that the community was enraged by insults poured on the community especially against the Olowo of Owo. He said “We have a tradition here that has endured generations. It’s uncouth for Mrs Betty Akeredolu to insult the entire community. It was an indication that she has no civilisation and no values. She may be educated but she acted foolishly”the official who wanted his name out of print said. He said the community cannot go to court but would invoke the “court of our ancestors.”

Their grouse was that Mrs Akeredolu referred to the ancient Owo Kingdom in entirely bad tongue calling the traditional ruler a “Baby Oba”. Watch
