Terrorists kill 200 in Kwara, Katsina attacks

Kwara State in Western Nigeria has seen its deadliest attack in years. Katsina is also bleeding. No less than 170 people have been killed in the two states, sources told Irohinoodua on Wednesday.

In one instance, the terrorists demanded that locals accept Sharia law or be killed.
This is coming on the heels as the United States congress i tensified probe of genocide against Christians.

In central Kwara state, the terrorists attacked Woro community.

At least 170 people were left dead in what is the worst and deadliest attack in 2026.
Worro in Kwara state in inhabited by Yoruba and some Baruba. The area is close to Niger State and has seen countless raids and attacks from terrorists who operate on River Niger which source is Guinea.

“Many who were wounded are still in hospital. It was a mass attack against innocent people by terrorists” Saliu Ajani who lives in the community told Irohinoodua.

The terrorists who came in hundreds also burn down homes and shops.

Ajani said when the terrorists came, they demanded that the community accept Sharia or they would be killed.

“They went to homes and some churches around, killing people indiscriminately” a security official who does not wish to be named told Irohinoodua.

Kwara police chief image maker Adetoun Ejire-Adeyem said the police and military supported by local vigilante have launched operation to arrest and bring to book the terrorists.

In a separate incidence, Reuters reports that in northern Katsina state, gunmen killed at least 21 people, moving from house to house to shoot their victims, residents and local police said.
The attack broke a six-months peace pact between the community and the armed gang.

Reuters pointed out that It highlighted the dilemma faced by residents in Nigeria’s remote north, where some have sought peace with armed gangs that terrorise them. Residents typically pool money and food, which they give to bandits so they are not attacked.
