Kidnappers strike, visit homes in Ibadan, kidnap Pastor’s daughter

Kidnappers are now visiting homes instead of the traditional crime of picking victims on highways or in farms
At Ibadan, Oyo State, a disturbing incident unfolded on Thursday where the daughter of a prominent pastor was kidnapped.
Ibukun Otesile, a mother of two and daughter of Reverend Dr. Lekan Babatunde, founder of Jesus Is King Ministries, was abducted from outside her home on Thursday evening.
According to reports obtained by Irohinodua on the kidnapping occurred around 8 pm at General Gas, Akobo, leaving the church community in shock. Olamide Olanrewaju, personal assistant to the outgoing chairman of the Oyo State Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
The CAN alert shared on its page read: “The daughter of our beloved Reverend Dr. Lekan Babatunde, was kidnapped this night Thursday, December 4 around 8:00Pm, Ibukun Otesile, the mother of two, was kidnapped in front of her gate at General Gas, Akobo.”
As the community awaits news of Otesile’s safe release, concerns about security and police response linger. Olanrewaju revealed that he tagged Rev Moses, the Chaplain of the Police Force Headquarters in Oyo State, seeking intervention.
“Only God knows what she was doing there, where she went, or who she was with,” he added, highlighting the uncertainty surrounding the kidnapping.
