Newsbreak:Terrorists attack ECWA Church in Kogi, kidnap over 20 worshipers

More than 20 worshippers were kidnapped on Sunday morning in a terrorist attack on ECWA Church located in Bunu near Kabba in Kogi State. Some sources put the number of kidnapped people at 30

The more than 30 armed terorists were said to have stormed the Church while the service was ongoing.

Sources told Irohinoodua at least 30 worshippers were abducted from ECWA Church in Ayetoro Kiri, located in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Local sources told Irohinoodua that the terrorists invaded the Church around 10am during a worship session, firing sporadically and forcing faithful to flee before seizing an undisclosed number of worshippers and escaping into the bush paths. But local authorities said 30 people were taken away including old and fragile Christians

Also at Ilai, near Kabba, three people were said to have been kidnapped by suspected Fulani terorists. At Ayetoro, a source said one person was killed

“They came into the town in motorcycles. They took away about 20 people including women and children” Caleb Majekun a native of the town told Irohinoodua.

The latest attack is one in a series of armed invasion of churches by Fulani terrorists.
