By Samuel Ogunsona

Solid Foundation Estates Limited has successfully hosted the maiden African Business & Leadership Summit, bringing together investors, policymakers, and business leaders to push for partnerships to grow Africa’s economy.

The summit under the theme ‘Driving Africa’s Growth Through Innovation, Strategic Leadership, and Collaboration,’ which took place at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, from May 12–13, 2026, convened more than 1,000 participants from over 70 countries.

According to the organisers, the summit drew 35 country representatives, 60 strategic partners, and 50 exhibitors across sectors including Investment & Export, Real Estate & Infrastructure, Information Technology & Innovation, Aviation & Logistics, Health Care, Education, and Entertainment.

The event was organized by Solid Foundation Estates Limited, with Founder and CEO ESV Adetoun Otepola at the helm.

ABLS 2026 is a strategic push to strengthen regional cooperation, build investment-driven partnerships, and promote visionary leadership that can position Africa for sustainable growth, greater competitiveness, and global relevance,’ Otepola said during the summit.

Key conversations centered on expanding investment opportunities in infrastructure, technology, real estate, and manufacturing, areas identified as vital to tackling Nigeria’s slow growth, rising unemployment, and inflation challenges.

To encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing, the summit featured strong Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer engagements, according to the organizers.

Alongside the main sessions, a large-scale exhibition was held where government agencies, multinationals, financial institutions, startups, and development groups displayed investment prospects and innovative solutions.

Lagos was selected as the host city due to its standing as a commercial and innovation center, with significant contributions to Nigeria’s GDP and a strong position as a gateway for intra-African trade through its ports, airports, technology scene, and creative sector.

“The summit was designed as an ongoing platform to link leaders focused on advancing Africa’s future through business and innovation.” Otepola noted.

Adetoun Otepola Consulting, ATT Facilities, and Estate Surveyors and Valuers were listed among the strategic partners supporting the summit.
