Yoruba Council Worldwide appoints Adeoye as Publicity icon

Yoruba Council Worldwide, Ìgbìmọ̀ Apapo Ọmọ Yorùbá Lágbàáyé, has announced the appointment of Mr. Gboyega Emmanuel Adeoye as its new Director of Publicity and Spokesperson.
My Adeoye was mandate to speak on economic, political, cultural and security issues that affect Yoruba people all over the world.
He was also mandated to work with local and international organisations propelling the positive energy of Yoruba at a critical moment in history.
Yoruba Council Worldwide President, His Royal Majesty Sooko (Barr.) Oladotun Hassan, Esq., Sooko Agoriesin of Ile-Ife announced Adeoye’s appointment via a statement at the weekend.
Hassan described Ogbeni Adeoye who as spent decades in journalism as a versatile and veteran journalist with nearly three decades of experience in print, broadcast and digital media.
Meanwhile, congratulatory letters have started pouring in with the South West Professional Forum, [SOWPROF] describing the appointment as a “strategic intervention” to unite the Yoruba people through constructive and meaningful engagements.
“The right choice was made. We want to see Mr Adeoye use his experience and network to reposition the YWC towards a global Yoruba unity conference” Akinwale Kasali said on behalf of SOWPROF.
The Council President stated that the appointee brings to the regional group a proven track record in public communications, media strategy, and development advocacy.
“He is also widely known as a frontline rights activist of no mean repute, with years of advocacy for justice, good governance, and the protection of indigenous rights.
