US finds world’s largest terrorist electronic cache in Nigeria

By Lola Akinjola

The United States has discovered one of the world’s largest terrorist electronic cache in Nigeria.

US intelligence experts describe the cache as the largest ever found by the US since 9/11.

The cache was found after the US raid in North East Nigeria in a counter intelligence attack.

The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) has been linked to the cache which has stunned the international intelligence community.

The cache is a prove of ISWAP deep connections with global terror which has now been exported to Nigeria.

ISWAP is a break away Boko Haram faction founded by Abubakar Shekau who was killed during rival gun battle around Lake Chad. Al Barnawi took over from Shekau. He too was killed. The last leader of the group is Al Minoki who was recently killed in a US raid.

Sources close to Irohinoodua said the devices were no enormous that aircraft was deployed to airlift them.

“The devices is a clear indication of the sophistication of ISWAP network in Nigeria and across the world,” a security expert who does not wish to be named told Irohinoodua.

The raid by the US Special Force was said to have taken place near Lake Chad region at Metele.

Recovered were Laptops, mobile phones, and hard drives.

Officials said the cache is “three times larger than any enemy electronics capture since 9/11”

US and Nigerian officials said over 199 jihadists were killed.

It is believed that US Intelligence will analyse every data available which
may provide clues on funding and the ISWAP internal working operations.

The US is expected to share the intelligence with its traditional allies including Nigeria.

The US Deputy Assistant to President Donald Trump for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council locates in Gorka spoke in an interview with Marissa Streit, Chief Executive Officer, (CEO) of Prager.

He was quoted as saying “This is the biggest neutralisation of enemy killed in action since September the 11th.199 jihadists who will not harm Americans again.”
