Newsbreak: IPOB sacks Nnamdi Kanu as leader

The Inidigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB has announced the dismissal of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
A statement signed by Chikadibia Edoziem on behalf of IPOB said Kanu who has led the Igbo self determination group for more since 2012 would no longer be recognised at the leader of the group.
The suspension, according to the statement is indefinate.
IPOB cites a communication from Sokoto linked to Kanu.
Nnamdi Kanu is currently serving his jail term in Sokoto prison.
Kanu was also dismissed at the Director of Radio Biafra.
IPOB said it has appointed a new Director of State to administer the organisation.
The statement accused Kanu of causing unnecessary deaths of members of the organisation.
IPOB was formed in 2012 to bring back the dream of an independent state for Igbo who live in South East Nigeria.
Nigerian security officials arrested him on 14 October 2015. He is known for putting on his head the Jewish prayer shawl and head covering.
He was released on 28 April 2017. He later established the Eastern Security Network, (ESN).
In June, 2021 he was arrested in Kenya by former President Mohammadu Buhari’s government agents and charged to court from where he landed in prison.
