Igbo man wins APC House of Reps in Ekiti, defeats retired Air Vice Marshal

The All Progressives Congress, [APC] candidate for one of the Federal Constituencies is an Igbo man
Aspirant Zaccheus Okoro was the House of Representative ticket in Ekiti State during the APC Primary in Ekiti State held last week.
He is for that reason an Ekiti man and with full rights due to Ekti men.
If he wins, and most likely he will, Okoro will be representing Ise/Ikere-Ekiti South-West Federal Constituency 1.
He may emerge to represent Ekiti people in the National Assembly.
Ironically, Irohinoodua was informed that Okoro defeated the incumbent Representative member who is a full son of Ekiti State, Vice Marshall Rufus Adeniyi Ojuawo [rtd]
Locals who spoke to Irohinoodua said Okoro defeated Ojuawo because he latter was notorious for failing to meet the aspirations of his constituency.
“Okoro is more accessible. He is one of us. In Yorubaland, once you have been tested and confirmed to possess the omoluabi trait, you can get to the apex of your career. Okoro is found to be reliable, honest and loyal to the values and heritage of Yoruba people. The support for him during the primary was overwhelming,” Musa Adekunle an indigene of the town told Irohinoodua on Tuesday.
Okoro had polled 9,978 votes to defeat Ojuawo who scores 1,842 votes during the APC primary.
Musa said the whole constituency will support Okoro
“I can assure you that Okoro will win. He has the support of the entire people of not just his constituency, but the whole of Ekiti State.
He said the traditional rulers and the State Governor are with Okoro.
According to him ” Nigeria may be divided along bitter ethnic lines, but the Yoruba should continue to defend her tradition of merit and fairness in political and economic relations.”
Okoro’s mother is said to be from one of the South West States.
