The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has advised President Bola Tinubu to give the country’s security chiefs a 90-day ultimatum to wipe out terrorists or face dismissal.
He said China which had defended Nigeria would not be in the position to help Nigeria if Trump decided to hit terrorist cells in Nigeria.
He spoke at the monthly Holy Ghost service held at Redeem Camp at the weekend
“If I were asked to make suggestions, I would say to our government: move fast, move diplomatically, move wisely. Find a way to convince the President of America to delay his actions for about 100 days.
Irohinoodua monitored his sermon.
He said Presdent Tinubu should the come home and tell our security chiefs to get rid of these terrorists within 90 days or resign.
He also urged President Tinubu to make it clear to the security chiefs that they must not only eliminate the terrorists but also their sponsors, no matter how powerful they are.
“We must take note of the fact that if America attacks us, China is not coming to defend us, Russia won’t defend us. All the so-called world leaders will talk, they will condemn what America has done in the strongest terms, but they won’t help us. Britain won’t come to help us. No foreign power will,” Adeboye warned.
The cleric’s advice comes amid heightened tension over US President Donald Trump’s threat to invade Nigeria to neutralize terrorists allegedly killing Christians.
Adeboye, who has previously offered similar counsel to former President Muhammadu Buhari, lamented that despite initial progress, the efforts were not sustained to achieve lasting peace.
“This is not the time for jokes, grammar, or arguments. It’s not about Christians or Muslims — innocent people are dying,” he emphasized.
The RCCG leader’s call has reignited conversation about the need for decisive action to address Nigeria’s security challenges.
